CompuCom Earns Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification for Sixth Straight Year

June 11, 2003

Dallas, TX, June 11, 2003 - CompuCom Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMPC), a leading provider of IT outsourcing, technology procurement and systems integration services, announced today that its Enterprise Help Desk, which is Microsoft Gold Certified, has been certified for the sixth straight year under the prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification program. CompuCom achieved certification after an extensive audit of their Dallas, TX support center. SCP Certification quantifies the effectiveness of customer support based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents best practices in the industry.

"We are dedicated to delivering excellent service. The SCP certification process not only assures our clients of our use of industry best practices, but by re-certifying annually our clients are guaranteed continuous improvement in our tools and processes. CompuCom combines state-of-the-art technologies, business and technical skills, and methodologies that are focused on delivering significant value to clients,” said Meg Frantz, Vice-President of CompuCom’s Enterprise Help Desk.

SCP Certification, an internationally recognized standard created with the Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA) and a consortium of leading technology companies, defines best practices for delivering world-class technology support. The program quantifies the effectiveness of customer support, establishes a foundation to build on existing quality processes, and provides a clear focus on measurable results. SCP Certification requires comprehensive on-site audits to confirm that companies meet the requirements of the over 100 business elements defined in the program. Certified organizations must demonstrate their continued commitment to high performance standards through annual re-certification audits.

"CompuCom continues to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to delivering world-class support to their clients," said John Hamilton, President of Service Strategies Corporation, which is responsible for administering the SCP Certification program. "The attainment of SCP Certification for the sixth consecutive year is unprecedented in the industry and sets CompuCom apart as a clear leader in the industry."
