MarketSoft Acquires Elity

August 24, 2004

MarketSoft has acquired Elity Systems, a market leader for event-triggered solutions. By combining Elity’s behavior triggering technology with MarketSoft’s lead conversion prowess, companies can now employ cross-sell and retention methods to grow customer revenue.

Gartner G2 research validates the importance of combining event-triggering technology with lead management capability to ensure that triggered opportunities retain their intended value. According to Gartner, most event triggering tools don’t support trigger execution: they do a good job at uncovering relevant customer opportunities, but without proper execution of those triggers through qualification, prioritization, monitoring and measuring, conversion rates can suffer. MarketSoft’s DemandMore Triggers product monitors daily customer events to discern unusual and meaningful customer behavior changes that suggest a need or a defection threat. Then it rapidly delivers these "reasons to call" to the most appropriate follow-up channel so that time-sensitive customer revenue opportunities are fully exploited. It provides equal emphasis on the three critical and inextricably linked revenue growth processes: lead creation, management, and measurement.

Elity’s trigger engine spots events that are impossible to find using standard query tools and captures those events as they happen without incurring the delays of working in batch mode. Plus it allows non-technical marketing and business users — not statistical programmers — to create and execute the trigger rules as quickly as they are conceived. It leverages existing data infrastructures with no limit to the number of sources, transaction streams, and legacy systems.
