LexisNexis Gets Into the CRM Game

LexisNexis took the plunge into the customer-relationship management (CRM) market with its acquisition of Interface Software, a provider of CRM products to legal and professional services companies. The company plans to combine Interface's InterAction application with its efforts on the client-development services front for these target industries. The combined products are intended to help companies manage their businesses for growth.

LexisNexis, is well-known for providing news, business information, and services to its customers. Over the past few years, the company has tried to expand by providing services that help clients find, win, and keep their customers. The acquisition of Interface, lets LexisNexis create products that compliment the ability to integrate LexisNexis information with client profiles stored in InterAction.

The acquisition has been completed. LexisNexis says all Interface employees have been retained and continue to operate out of the company's Oak Brook, Ill., offices. Terms of the deal were not provided.
