Share Your Knowledge with the SSPA Community
by Bill Rose, SSPA Founder/Executive Director

One of the best things about being a part of an association like the SSPA is being able to share knowledge and experiences with peers, people who not only have the same interests but have shared some of the same pain – and learned from it. You can share what you’ve learned about the profession of service and support by speaking at the upcoming SSPA Conference @ San Diego. Speaking at SSPA conferences can be a very rewarding experience – and a lot of fun as well.

The SSPA Conference @ San Diego is billed as the Best Practices Conference & Expo. We’re looking for speakers who can deliver best practices and innovative processes to raise the bar for the service & support industry. Delivering session at the conference will also raise the bar for your career and provides the opportunity for you to give something back to the SSPA community and the service & support industry.

This year, we’ve defined five tracks for the conference:

Operations Readiness – How to effectively manage workflow, escalation, surveys, benchmarking SLAs, and more.
Executive Insight – Financial models that work, partnering for success, customer satisfaction and how to manage accounts, is offshoring for you, etc.
Technology & Tools – Make technology and tools work for you. What applications enable you to implement best practices and more efficient business processes.
Services Marketing – NEW: Show how services marketing and support can work better together. What are the best practices in selling support services. What marketing strategies are best when selling IT services. What do new service opportunities look like and how can they be sold..
People & Management – Compensation and incentives, staffing models, training and certification, transitioning to outsourcing, etc.

You can also get more info about the tracks, with examples, at http://www.sspaconferences.com/sandiego/default.asp. If you have an idea that doesn’t seem to fit neatly into one of these tracks, please send it to us anyway. We won’t turn away great session content just because it doesn’t fit one of our tracks, we’ll find a way for you to deliver it. We encourage both first-time and experienced speakers to participate. Applications will be reviewed by our conference content committee to ensure we put together sessions that address the most important issues you face today.

Sincerely,
Bill Rose
